Locke’s Promise, Inc. 2025 “Keys for Promise” Car Raffle Rules and Regulations

Purchase one or more raffle tickets during Locke’s Promise, Inc.’s Car Raffle and you’ll be entered in a raffle to win your choice of a vehicle from Grappone Automotive Group in Concord, New Hampshire (valued up to $35,000) or a cash option ($25,000). To enter the raffle, you must purchase at least one ticket for $100. Additional tickets for additional costs may also be purchased. Odds of winning are based on the number of individuals contributing and tickets purchased. Void where prohibited.  This Raffle is open only to legal residents of New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, or Vermont, 18 years or older.  Raffle ticket sales begin at 12:01 am on October 1, 2025, and end at 12:00 pm on October 31, 2025. All times referenced for the Locke’s Promise, Inc. are Eastern Time.

CANCELLATION: This raffle is sponsored by Locke’s Promise, Inc., a registered charitable organization under New Hampshire law. The raffle drawing is scheduled for November 1st, 2025 or such later date as determined by the Organizer. If fewer than 350 tickets are sold by October 31st, the raffle may be canceled, and all ticket purchases will be refunded in full. All participants will be notified in the event of cancellation. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this disclaimer.

ELIGIBILITY: The Locke’s Promise board members, all Grappone employees and immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, siblings, and children)of both organizations are not eligible. As noted above, entrants must be at least 18 years or older and a legal residents of New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, or Vermont at the time of purchasing a raffle ticket to be eligible.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER:  Winner will be selected LIVE at Locke’s Promise, Inc, in Henniker, New Hampshire on Saturday, November 1st 2025 before 1pm. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of Locke’s Promise, Inc and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail, and/or email. If potential winner cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNER: Winner will be published on Locke’s Promise, Inc social media and website in  Henniker, New Hampshire; a similar method of announcement will be used should an alternate winner be selected as detailed herein. 

WINNER’S SELECTION OF PRIZE: Winner must inform Locke’s Promise, Inc. of its choice of prize, vehicle or cash before November 30th.  If the vehicle is selected, it will be based on vehicle availability and the winner will have 6 months to work with Grappone to finalize their selected vehicle. Deadline of April 1st, 2026.

Locke’s Promise, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value in the event of the unavailability of a prize.

GENERAL:  By entering the raffle, participants agree that Locke’s Promise, Inc, their agents, and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the raffle. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash except as described below for the cash option.  Locke’s Promise, Inc. may use winners’ names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation. Ticket purchases are not refundable and contributions are not tax deductible.

IMPORTANT VEHICLE INFORMATION:  If the winner chooses to receive the new vehicle valued up to $35,000 at Grappone Automotive Group Dealership in Concord, NH (and not the cash option), winner must choose and take delivery of the vehicle no later than April 1st, 2026.  All taxes, insurance, licensing, registration, title fees, acquisition fees, destination charges, freight delivery, any other costs that may be associated with purchasing and collecting the vehicle, any costs of vehicle in excess of $35,000, and all other expenses not specified herein and related to the acceptance and use of the Prize are winner’s sole responsibility. There will also be no cash value or refund for any unused portion of the $35,000 vehicle credit.

All other expenses not specified herein and related to the acceptance and use of the Prize are winner’s sole responsibility. Grappone Automotive Group’s 3-day money back guarantee is not valid on the vehicle transaction. 

Due to inventory limitations, the winner may apply the $35,000 credit toward a new, previously unregistered vehicle that is in stock, in production, or available for future order through Grappone Automotive Group. This credit does not apply to pre-owned or certified pre-owned inventory. Locke’s Promise does not guarantee the availability of any specific vehicle type, model, or delivery timeline. The winner must take delivery of the selected vehicle no later than April 1, 2026

IMPORTANT $25,000 CASH INFORMATION: If the Prize winner chooses the $25,000 in cash (and not the new vehicle valued up to $35,000), winner must take possession of cash no later than November 30, 2025.  All taxes, and all other expenses not specified herein and related to the acceptance and use of the Prize are the winner's sole responsibility.

Locke’s Promise, Inc. reserves the right to amend all of the prize possession dates.

TAX OBLIGATIONS: The winner is responsible for paying all appropriate taxes and expenses resulting from winning a prize. For any prize valued at $600 or more, Locke’s Promise, Inc. will send an IRS form 1099 noting the value of the prize to the winner and the IRS at year-end. The winner must submit to Locke’s Promise, Inc. a completed and signed IRS Form W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification) prior to taking possession of any prize. If the winner selects the vehicle prize, the winner must prepay taxes to Locke’s Promise, Inc. in the amount of 25% of the fair market value of the chosen vehicle (maximum vehicle value for purposes of this calculation is $35,000) minus the amount of winning ticket, prior to taking possession of any prize and no later than  April 1, 2026. The winner will forfeit the vehicle prize if the winner fails or refuses to prepay the taxes prior to that deadline. If the winner pays the taxes with a check or wire transfer, winner cannot take possession of the vehicle until the check or wire has been cleared by Locke’s Promise, Inc.’s bank (clearing can take 7-14 days for checks, and 3-5 days for wires). If the winner selects the cash prize instead of the vehicle, Locke’s Promise, Inc. will estimate and deduct federal withholding taxes from the cash prize, and submit such taxes to the IRS prior to or simultaneously with the delivery of the net proceeds to the winner.

Taxes on the vehicle or the cash must be paid in advance by the date the winner takes possession of the prize, and no later than April, 1 2026. 

RESTRICTIONS: By participating in the Locke’s Promise, Inc. Car Raffle, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges. In the event that winner relocates following the announcement of the winner, winner is obligated to inform Locke’s Promise, Inc. of their new address; failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize if Locke’s Promise, Inc. is unable to contact the winner with contact information provided to it.
