Climb the Peak for MS 2026: A Record‑Breaking Day of Community, Courage & Climbing
On Sunday, June 7th, our community showed up with heart, grit, and unstoppable energy for Climb the Peak for MS 2026—and it became our biggest, boldest climb yet. From the moment registration opened at 8 AM at Pats Peak in Henniker, the mountain buzzed with excitement as families, friends, businesses, and supporters gathered with one shared purpose: to take meaningful steps toward a world free of MS.
A Day Built for Everyone
This year’s event offered something for every ability and every level of adventure. Participants could:
Walk around the base area, climb the access road, or ride the lift to the summit
Climbers could choose from three route options—The Grounds (flat), Halfway Point, or Full Summit
Capture memories at photo stations and our “I climbed it” selfie frame
And for those who wanted to take in the views without the climb? The chairlift was running from 9–11 AM, giving everyone a chance to experience the breathtaking summit.
Fuel, Fun & Community Spirit
We were thrilled to welcome back Cali Arepa, the woman‑owned Colombian food truck serving authentic arepas that kept our climbers fueled and smiling.
Local sponsors joined us at the base area to share their offerings, connect with participants, and celebrate the mission behind the climb. Kids, hikers, seasoned supporters, and first‑timers all mingled to the soundtrack of our event DJ, who kept the energy high from start to finish.
Why We Climb
Climb the Peak for MS is more than an event—it’s a movement. Every step taken, every dollar raised, and every person who shows up helps us push forward in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Funds raised support the National MS Society, and are slated directly to fuel research to find us a cure.
This year, our community rallied harder than ever. With teams, families, and businesses joining forces, the mountain became a powerful symbol of what we can accomplish together.
A Heartfelt Thank You
To every climber, volunteer, sponsor, donor, and cheerleader—thank you. Your presence made this event unforgettable. Your support makes our mission possible. And your belief in a world where no one faces MS alone is what keeps Locke’s Promise moving forward.
WHere does our fundraising stand?
Despite the challenges so many families are facing right now with the economy and job market, our community showed up in a way that left us humbled and inspired. We set a goal of $30,000 and thanks to the incredible generosity of our climbers, donors, and the most successful raffle we’ve ever had, we are currently sitting at $37,300+ — with donations still coming in through the end of June.
This July, we’ll proudly present the National MS Society with a large check that represents not just dollars, but hope. This was our fourth year hosting Climb the Peak for MS, but our first year running it entirely under Locke’s Promise instead of the NMSS Walk MS : Way Campaign. New tools, new platforms, new processes — and still, this community delivered. We made this shift so we could ensure that every hard‑earned fundraising dollar from this event goes exactly where it matters most: MS research.
Locke’s Promise continues to support people in New Hampshire living with MS through financial assistance, mobility tools, home modifications, and community connection — but what we cannot do directly is find a cure. That’s why Climb the Peak for MS will always send 100% of its proceeds to the National MS Society. The rest of our events and grant funding stay right here in New Hampshire, helping our neighbors who need it most. And with an estimated 3,000–4,000 people in New Hampshire living with Multiple Sclerosis, your support is not just appreciated — it is life‑changing.
