The goal of our board is to ensure strong leadership and impactful decision-making to help those living with MS most efficiently.
Board Meets Quarterly for 90 minutes either via Zoom or in Person.
Board Leadership & Oversight
(time commitment required: 4 hours per week)
🔸 [Position Filled] Board Chair / President – Provides overall direction, leads meetings, and ensures alignment with the mission and goals.
🔸[Position Filled] Vice Chair / Vice President – Supports the Chair, steps in when needed, and helps oversee strategic initiatives.
🔸[Position Filled] Secretary – Maintains records, oversees documentation, and ensures compliance with governance requirements.
🔸[Position Filled] Treasurer – Manages financial oversight, budgeting, and financial accountability for the organization.
(time commitment required: 2 - 4 hours per week)
🔸[Position Filled] Publications Lead: Responsible for creating enticing content to share with our audience via Press Releases, News Articles, Newsletters, and magazine editing.
🔸[Position Filled] Podcast Lead: Manages guests and scripts to make sure they are comfortable and prepared during the recording.Prep call if needed, aligning the content, obtaining headshots/relevant photos.
Marketing & Public Relations
Advocacy & Community engagement
(time commitment required: 2 - 4 hours per week)
🔸 Community Outreach Coordinator – Builds relationships with local partners, connects individuals with services, and fosters engagement.
🔸 Awareness & Education Lead – Develops programs to increase MS awareness, organizes workshops, and works with advocacy groups.
Services & client support
(time commitment required: 2 - 4 hours per week)
🔸 Resource & Care Coordinator – Helps individuals living with MS find support services, healthcare providers, and financial assistance.
🔸 Volunteer Coordinator – Recruits, trains, and manage volunteers to support Locke’s Promise initiatives.
fundraising & event planning
(time commitment required: 2- 4 hours per week)
🔸 Fundraising Chair – Leads fundraising efforts, donor relations, and sponsorship outreach.
🔸 Events Coordinator – Oversees planning and execution of key fundraising and awareness events.
